Established in 1888, the Financial Times (FT) is a British publication renowned for its business and economic news coverage. Recognized globally as a premier source of financial journalism, it’s frequently acknowledged as a newspaper of record. Nikkei Inc. owns the FT, which disseminates its content through print and digital mediums, reaching approximately 36% of international financial decision-makers, a broader reach than its rival, The Wall Street Journal. The FT operates with over 110 international journalists and conducts printing in 22 worldwide locations. It maintains a significant online footprint with its website, FT.com, launched in 1995 and transitioned to a subscription-based model in 2002. Additionally, the newspaper sponsors an annual book award, publishes various editorial features such as a Person of the Year feature, and produces a luxury lifestyle magazine.
